When you get to Vegas, don't bother with a shuttle bus from the airport to your hotel. Just go outside and get in the taxi cab line. It will cost you about 10 bucks for a ride to your hotel and you can legally drink beer in the cab (if you brought some with you!)
Don't buy Vegas Nightclub passes from your cabbie. You should be able to get them for free from your limo driver. If you are desperate though, work out a deal like 4 for $10 or $20.
If you already have a Costco membership, you might consider getting the TrueEarnings American Express Card which gives you 2% cash back on traveling (airline tickets, hotel stays, car rentals, and cruises) and has no annual fee as long as you are a Costco member. Your wife will be so happy you got a credit card for her to use at Costco, she might forget about that guys trip to Vegas!
The Stratosphere just finished building an insane ride on the top of the tower which opened on March 10, 2005. It is an inverted centrifuge which swings you and 9 other riders out over the edge of the tower at 40 MPH and 900 feet above the ground below. I have been on the top of the Stratosphere, and let me tell you, it makes me nervous just stepping outside, so this is going to be one helluva insane ride. And, it is aptly named, Insanity Ride. You better take an extra pair of underwear with you.
